Last two days of the holiday...

We arrived back in Vancouver for our last night and planned all along to stay somewhere really nice. We chose the Sutton place hotel and it was great. It had a great swimming pool (about 13 m long) so we had a bit of a swim which was really relaxing.

We had a great last meal at an Italian restaurant with a lovely bottle of wine and then headed to our last night's treat... For our last night treat we got to see the Cirque Du Soliel's Corteo show. Corteo, which means "cortege" in Italian, is a joyous procession, a festive parade imagined by a clown. The show brings together the passion of the actor with the grace and power of the acrobat to plunge the audience into a theatrical world of fun, comedy and spontaneity situated in a mysterious space between heaven and earth. The clown pictures his own funeral taking place in a carnival atmosphere, watched over by quietly caring angels. Juxtaposing the large with the small, the ridiculous with the tragic and the magic of perfection with the charm of imperfection, the show highlights the strength and fragility of the clown, as well as his wisdom and kindness, to illustrate the portion of humanity that is within each of us. The music, by turns lyrical and playful, carries Corteo through a timeless celebration in which illusion teases reality. Here are some photos from the show.

Some of the acrobatic feats were amazing and it really topped off our holiday to see this show.
Our last day in Canada was pretty quiet. I started with an eye brow shape at the hotel spa (very good and a luxurious treat to get it done) and then we headed over to Kitsilano pool for a swim. This is no ordinary pool it is 137 m long!!!! Massive. Here it is.

And here it is.... the last shot from Canada... a great holiday!
